Group Purchases and Individual Catalog Orders

Roger Holmes and Del Fussell are the Group Buy Coordinators for 2008. They provide opportunities for FRW members to achieve substantial savings through Group Buy ordering. Order forms will be available at meetings and are also posted at the bottom of this page.. See the Group Buy schedule below. Following meetings where group buy orders are taken, additional orders will be accepted if received by the respective group buy coordinator by the following Tuesday. If the minimum order amount is not reached, the ordering period will be extended to the following month. Ordered items are normally distributed at the next monthly meeting. Industrial Abrasives: Group Buy minimum order of $50. Discounted prices for mandrels and sanding disks are on the provided order form, no tax, and 5% shipping. If you desire to include in your order other items in the IA catalog – such as sheets of Velcro sandpaper or specialized sanding items for your shop machinery – the purchase price is either (a) the price on the wholesale list or (b) 10% discount if not on the wholesale list. Craft Supplies: Group Buy minimum order of $1,000. Discounts vary but are at least 13% (excluding machinery and items that require special shipping charges). No tax, no shipping. Contact Roger Holmes. Click here for order form.

Woodcarvers Supply: Group Buy minimum order of $170 (prior to discount). 10% discount on everything in the catalog. No tax, but $7.50 is charged for shipping each order (split among those who order). Contact Roger Holmes. Click here for order form.

Rockler Greenwood End Sealer – One-Time Buy: Roger Holmes will be taking orders in February for Rockler greenwood end sealer at $12.00 per gallon (no tax, no shipping) (the normal store price is $19.99). The Group Buy minimum order is 8 gallons. Cash or checks payable to Rockler.

Individual Catalog Orders allow members to place orders with the below vendors at a discount and have the items shipped directly to your door. You must first sign up for individual catalog discounts. It is FRW’s policy that we do not provide full member rosters to vendors, so if you want to tap into these discounts, please be sure to sign up on the sheets that are passed around at each meeting.

Klingspor - Individual Catalog Orders: 10% discounts on all catalog items. It is easier to order by phone, identify yourself as being a FRW member. If you order on-line, however, first send an email to sales@woodworkingshop.com with your username (format is first name + last initial - i.e., John Smith would be "johns"), billing address, phone # and preferred password, and identify yourself as a FRW member. You will receive a confirmation email within 2 business days that will enable you to order on-line.

Hartville Tool - Individual Catalog Orders: 20% discount on all catalog items until about October 2008 - then drops to 15%. Call in your order, and identify yourself as being a FRW member. No tax, but catalog shipping charges on orders under $300 (under $75 through January 10, 2008) apply.

Group Buy Schedule for 2008:
Group purchase orders will be taken at the monthly meetings in January, April, July and October.
