| Turning Challenge Rules: |
| |
Here are the rules for the Turning Challenge:
Category – Typically, each month’s challenge is the topic from the previous month’s demonstration, unless otherwise indicated in the newsletter.
Competing – Please fill out a Show and Tell form for your competition piece and be sure to mark whether you think you are a Beginner-to-Intermediate, or Intermediate-to-Advanced turner.
Voting – Please vote once for each experience class. For example, you can vote once for a Beginner-to-Intermediate and once for Intermediate-to-Advanced piece. Votes are tallied after the break and the winners are announced at the end of the night.
You don’t have to compete in the Turning Challenge, but it can be fun. Remember that you can bring other types of turnings for the Show and Tell, too.

| The Wood Raffle: |
| |
Club members may purchase raffle tickets for $1 each during regular monthly meetings. All raffled items are donated by club members and suppliers such as Rockler and Craft Supplies. Club members who bring an item to donate to the raffle will in turn receive one raffle ticket. The wood raffle is a great way to acquire new turning materials and woodturning related items. All raffle proceeds benefit club activities.
|
|
| Perpetual Turning: |
| |
Each month the first item raffled off is the Perpetual Turning. The member who wins the Perpetual Turning is then expected to bring in a turning of his or her own for the following month’s raffle. The Perpetual Turning is open to all skill levels; beginners are encouraged to participate. The Perpetual Turning is a great way to acquire pieces made by other members; however, if for any reason the first raffle winner does not wish to participate in the Perpetual Turning he or she may choose another item and the next winner is then eligible to choose the Perpetual Turning.
